I got it for my 12lb schnoodle who gets cold very easily, especially in the winter. She likes to nap on heating pads, and I thought this would be a good option to try that wouldn't require constant turning on/off plus it's safer. She loved it from day 1, she sleeps on the mat and relaxes there throughout the day. It's very soft and made of a durable material.
As soon as I unpacked it, both of my dogs wanted to check it out. The youngest one had fun trying to dig under the folded layers so maybe getting one larger than I needed wasn't a bad thing. She eventually snuggled down on top of it and laid there all evening. The top is soft and the bottom is textured. I think it will well on my cold truck seats for the pups.
